John Noble Masi attended the premiere culinary school in the world in 1984: The Culinary Institute of America before he moved to Florida to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management and Master’s degree in Business Administration at Florida International University. Since graduating in 1991, John has dedicated more than 25 years to a career in foodservice, working in both front of house and kitchen/bakery operations for hotels, cruise ships, premiere catering companies, and 2 of the top 3 global foodservice management companies in positions that continually increased his responsibility from an Executive Chef to a Regional Vice President role.
Today, John teaches young culinarians and hospitality professionals various culinary, management, service, wine and bar management courses as a Chef Instructor at both Florida International University and San Ignacio University as well as in the Hospitality School at Johnson & Wales University, North Miami campus.
John recently was elected the President for the American Culinary Federation’s Broward County Chapter. In this role, John leads all activities for the local ACF charity events and meetings, as well as coordinating all educational sessions and member support programs for that local chapter. In 2011, John formed Hospitality Performance Partners, bringing this same Passion to a new consulting company focusing solely on client interests. The company’s Trainings and Operational Performance “Fresh Eyes” reviews have helped many of these clients improve their dining centers both financially and operationally. John is truly excited to be a part of this year’s Tastes of the World Chef Culinary Conference.
